LOVE SOMETHING
TO LOVE SOMETHING
LOVE THING
IT’S A LOVE THING

Something stands out that your subconscious directly registers and captures. You become curious and must look again. The more you look the more you feel, it is a warm feeling that can be described as love

Maybe it's the collector's instinct in us, maybe it's something else perhaps we humans are the only species that can fall in love with objects. To whom or what you direct your love, you get to choose for yourself. No matter, love is amazing it is not about consumption but something else, a feeling, a tribute, a longing. My great fascination for chimpanzees is based on our similarities and our way of seeing ourselves in them, because as soon as you put a chimpanzee in a human-encoded environment, you stop seeing them as animals and instead start focusing on what we have in common. I usually say that I describe a generation gap in my paintings, between us and the chimpanzees, how they live as part of nature while we live off it, something that is no longer sustainable. But you have to make choices that are not just for today, choosing things that someone else wants to take over when you feel you no longer want it, instead of using the wear and tear culture. Therefore, I have a great fascination for the constant and timeless.

A word from Pontus Klingspor

As I've had the great opportunity to follow Bobo's working process closely for the last years I get more and more impressed - his dedication to every piece of art, his meticulous research of motives, motions and colours and his close relationship to his work - I see as the key to his success.

The response to his art is imidiate and the paintings evoke acquisitiveness. The audience always wants more! Bobos’ followers and collectors are very dedicated and have been faithful through out the years. Beside the chimpanzees the colours are his signum - always the air of being updated, always on spot and in bold combinations.

Humanity and a warm meeting of nature - feelings that are recognizable around the globe. The great response and the fact that the art world is now showing a great interest in his work is fantastic and the journey has just started!

A WORD FROM PONTUS KLINGSPOR

Bobo’s exhibition at Palais Royal in Paris is an explosion of colours. As always spot on regarding nuances and combination, perhaps now even more bold than ever. As he constantly challenge new directions as well as new materials his work is always in motion and progress

The significant mix of art, fashion, colours and shapes creates a world of it’s own. Sustainability, heritage and ever lasting are central keys. As I've had the great opportunity to follow Bobo's working process closely for the last years I get more and more impressed - his dedication to every piece of art, his meticulous research of motives, motions and colours and his close relationship to his work - I see as the key to his success. He constantly have a perspective and a plan for his work and never leaves out any details or become stagnant. The response to his art is immediate and his work evokes acquisitiveness. As always his audience wants more and he is constantly courted from all over the world and he has a faithful crowd following and collecting his art. The combination of sculptures meeting paintings not only shows his talent but also makes the exhibition at Palais Royal so characteristic and worth visiting!
